If you play as a guest
Nothing leaves your device. Your progress is kept in your browser’s local storage so the game remembers where you were. Clearing your browser data removes it.
If you create an account
We store:
- Your email address and a secure hash of your password, so you can sign in. We never see your actual password.
- Your display name, and your college if you choose to add it.
- Your game progress: stars, scores, badges, labs completed, flashcards you’ve marked known, and the questions in your mistakes deck.
This data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. The site itself is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks.
Who can see it
Only you can read your progress, apart from the site’s administrator, who can see account emails, display names and progress to run the site, spot problems and remove abusive names. If "Show me on the leaderboard" is on (it is by default), everyone can see your display name, college (if added) and scores on the leaderboard. Your email is never shown. You can turn the leaderboard off on your account page.
What we don’t do
- No ads, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing your data.
- No emails, except a password-reset email when you ask for one.
Cookies and local storage
We don’t use cookies for tracking. Your browser’s local storage keeps your sign-in session and a copy of your progress so the game works offline between saves.
Your choices
- Download everything we hold about your progress from the account page.
- Delete your account from the account page. This removes your email, profile and progress permanently.
